A lieutenant general of naval technology from the Taisho era to the early Showa period. He was engaged in ship design at the Imperial Japanese Navy Technical Department and designed many groundbreaking heavily armed ships. I think he is called a teacher because he had a PhD in engineering rather than a soldier. After retiring, he also worked as a technical advisor for Mitsubishi Shipbuilding. It seems that he was also involved in the design of battleship Yamato as a commission of the Navy, and I think he was an engineer with advanced technology at that time. I think he is an engineer who laid the foundation for Japan's proud shipbuilding technology. Later, he became the president of the University of Tokyo and died while still enrolled in the president of the University of Tokyo, so it seems that the only school funeral at the University of Tokyo was held.
