Hidden gem in Incheon. I lived in Incheon my whole life but never knew how nice this park is until recently. Beautiful scenery and a pretty garden. And a little forest area where wild birds sing. Though monorail that takes you there is now available it's still too much of a novelty that the wait is long. But other than that it is great.

This park is a creation of typical Korean homes. We spent a lot of time looking at the buildings, but the place to be is in the gardens. There are public restrooms and they’re clean, with western toilets. Snack shack available with cold drinks, chips and some souvenirs. It isn’t fancy but it’s nice if you need a refreshment. Not all of the buildings are accessible by wheel chair, there are some ramps. The gardens have flat compressed sand that was wheelchair accessible. Signs are in Korean and English, if there was another language I didn’t know what it was... see photos.

Lots of games to play! I dressed up Korean style, I even hand fed deer! Beautiful place to be rain or shine.

Introduction Surrounded by the sea and mountains, the area now known as Wolmi Traditional Park was redeveloped by the city of Incheon and opened as a community space on September 10, 2001. The area had previously been used by the Ministry of National Defense to house military barracks for over 50 years. City officials recognized the land’s history and well-preserved, natural environment and transformed Wolmi Traditional Park into an ecological and historical domain accessible to all. The space was further organized into areas like the Traditional Garden Section, which is home to a variety of gardens patterned after those of the past: Yangjindang (representing a typical Bukchon house where aristocratic families lived), Soswaewon (a main garden in Korea), Buyongji (replicating a pond in Changdeokgung Palace’s Huwon), and Eryeonji (replicating a pond in Changdeokgung Palace’s Huwon). These carefully-planned sections that preserve the area’s natural beauty have won the park a spot in the hearts of visitors everywhere. A glass observatory on top of Wolmi Mountain is open to the public free of charge and grants visitors a spectacular view of Incheon International Airport and Incheon Port. The park is located at the three-way intersection of Wolmi Park Parking Lot and Wolmi Park near Incheon Station (Seoul Subway Line 1). Wolmi Traditional Park is located to the left of Wolmi Park. Visitors can also see the back gate of Wolmi Traditional Park (Yangjindang section) by walking toward Wolmido Cultural Street from the three-way intersection.
