Wow. This was much better than I expected upon our arrival. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. There are English audio guides available (though i recommend to the museum to have English subtitles on the videos projected onto the walls too). I teared up a number of times because the stories are incredibly moving, as is how the museum is set up. How have I never heard about these travesties before? As a woman, I felt connected to women suffering worldwide, and this exhibit has encouraged me to be more of an active activist. I felt proud that my male partner felt the same way after visiting. I highly recommend a visit, and am grateful for the brave survivors telling their stories.

Informative experience. Stumbled upon the place by chance, as I was exploring the greater Hongdae region. Learned a lot about the struggles that of Korean women during the Japanese occupation. Well laid out and immersive. They provide exhibitional audio in Korean and English.

It's a bummer, but a good museum

Small, but one of the best Museums of women's human rights. Must visit!!

A truly moving museum - would recommend to anyone visiting Seoul. There are very few English translations in the exhibitions, but the audioguide was very informative, well-placed and thought provoking. 5*!
