VIP Plastic Surgery

The front desk staff as well as the staff members responsible for the “little” things were great and are the only reason I’m giving a two stars... if we are just talking about the actual experience behind the procedure... 0 stars. I hope to help steer those in the right direction if they are thinking about spending their hard earned money on something as scary as a medical procedure which requires trust and passion on both ends. Unfortunately... this direction in specific... is not it. The procedure was a flunk, not what I asked for and definitely underwhelming in terms of what was expected. It honestly seemed like the “consultation” was thrown into the trash and the doctor either forgot or just did what he wanted to do. Not to mention... I woke from the anesthesia prematurely and felt every bit of pain from the needles penetrating my eyelids in which the doctor went back and forth doing something from what I could hear... perhaps trying to fix the problem but I assure you... he didn’t. Honestly... that’s where I believe the mess ups occurred and I’m sure they have cameras that prove my words. When I first presented them with the problem... they simple repeated “it was a success”. Scary to think how they could mess up your face and simply shove “it was a success” down your throat right? Eventually... we came to an agreement of revision but honestly... trust is out the window when it comes to that doctor... not to mention they relocated to an area of massive inconvenience. So I wanted a refund for a revision elsewhere that’s more acclaimed but they’ve been silent for several months. So please take my honest words and stay in the right path to keep your hard earned money in your hands and not in those that could potentially ruin your entire life and not care an ounce.

Jaime Chan.. I've been meaning to write this review for a long time and here I would like to express how thankful I am that I chose DR. LEE of VIP as my plastic surgeon. He has been a very professional yet down to earth doctor which made me fell very comfortable with him. I had a mid face augmentation and Rhinoplasty done few years ago and I am truly very happy with the overall results even until now. His knowledge and skills gave me a very natural and youthful look just exactly what I requested..

I've been with VIP for years, ever since I was injured from a car accident. Thank you Dr.Lee and his amazing team make possible for me to get back to work. I visit the clinic every year for my yearly maintenance, as I do still have scars and some minor problems after such accident. The reason why I choose VIP is because of the dedications of Dr.Lee and his teams from consultations, all the way to having my surgeries and treatments, also postoperative care. My scars have been so much better that I could now go outside without concealing them. I'd also like to have my nose tip done during my last visit, but unfortunately I just had the fat grafting procedure done and Dr.Lee explained to me that I have to wait until the swelling is fully subside and the final result to settle in around 6 months time. The things about surgeries are you'd have to be patience and wait for a while, months to 1 or 2 years to be able to see the final result. It might not look good at the beginning due to swelling, give yourself a little time. Dr.Lee would sometime reject your requests(in a good way) but suggesting you some other options for better, safer and natural outcomes, depending on your conditions. He wants to correct what needed to be corrected without doing more damage. Dr.Lee speaks good English and you'd have no communication problem with him if you're an English speaker. He cares about my concerns and has always been patiently listening and explaining my concerns to me. A tip for consultation is: Make sure you express your concern thoroughly and discuss with the doctors, what kind of results are you expecting, is the the result you want medical advisable. Despite during difficult times like now, the medical consultant JoAnn is still doing her best to assist me in arranging my trip. I look forward to my next beauty trip!

I came to know of Dr Lee as one of the most famous plastic surgeons in Korea and I must say I am extremely pleased with the overall service and experience I had with Dr Lee and VIP. All the doctor and nurses provided great care towards me both before and after my surgery. We have since then formed great relationships due to their caring approach towards patients whom eventually turn into friends.

VIP may have relocated and wiped out all the bad reviews posted at their Gangnam Seoul clinic, but it does not change the fact that Dr Myung Ju Lee is one doctor everyone should avoid. Be careful of Dr Myung Ju Lee. If you don’t know what kind of nose you want, you can go to him. But if you know exactly what kind of nose you want and suits your face, don’t go to Dr Myung Ju Lee. He won’t listen to your needs and concerns, he will just give you whatever nose result that he himself thinks is nice or is capable of doing, and then you’ll have to just accept the result. I was given a nose result that I never wanted or liked and was gaslighted and put through an emotional and mental hell for over a year because, even though I told them from the very beginning I did not like my result when my nose cast was removed and I saw my new nose/face for the first time, Dr Lee and VIP consultants kept gaslighting me and kept making me feel like I got a good result and that I’m crazy not to accept it and they kept telling me that the nose shape will change and the ridiculously high and protruded nose that Dr Lee gave me will go lower but it’s a lie because after 1.5 years the nose shape and height are almost the same as when my new nose was revealed to me, and now I’m stuck with an unnaturally high, protruded, straight fake-looking rhinoceros/bird-beak-like nose. From the way I was treated by Dr Lee and VIP, I can’t help but to feel that Dr Lee and VIP just want to make me wait long enough that I will just get used to my new nose after seeing it for over a year and forget what I had looked like before so that I would just accept my new nose and not bother them anymore. I’ve also been told and shown photos by other former patients of Dr Lee that he gave all of us the same kind of nose – big, high, straight nose with no specific definition of the nose tip that suits/is “harmonious” with our specific facial features – as though he only knows one style and technique and that’s it. And also be very careful about VIP consultants and Dr Lee recommending unnecessary procedures to you, like the “midface augmentation” procedure that they’ll make you think you need, but after doing it, if you get a restricted smile and have an unbalanced side profile because you now have a more protruded midface, they won’t take responsibility and you’ll have to suffer not being able to smile properly or smile as broadly as before. Even my speech has been somewhat detrimentally affected because of the restriction and tightness I now feel in my midface/upper lip area caused by the needlessly recommended “midface augmentation” procedure! I was charged USD12k for a primary rib cartilage rhinoplasty and “midface augmentation” and it’s the worst and most expensive mistake of my life. I thought $$$ = quality but I was so wrong!!! I’ve seen other people who used other materials like septal and ear cartilage that cost much cheaper but got much nicer and more natural-looking nose than the unnaturally high, protruded, straight fake-looking rhinoceros/bird-beak-like nose that Dr Lee has given me! And this is a doctor who on his website calls himself “Harmony Face Surgery Expert” who provides “harmonious rhinoplasty” and is “one of the best plastic surgeons in existence today”?!?! Have I been scammed?!?!?! Dr Lee and VIP acted like one of those unscrupulous businesses that take your money, give you what you never wanted, and hope that you never bother them ever again. Beware of Dr Myung Ju Lee and VIP!!
