The environment is dirty, the facilities are worn out, covered with dust, the toilet is broken after using it several times, you need to go up the stairs. We transfer to other hotel after staying for two days. Can’t stay ....

The hotel is quite far from any tourist attractions. While it is named Myeongdong guest house, it is actually very close to the chungmuro station while being quite a distance from the actual Myeongdong station. The hotel itself is located in a back alley, which makes it difficult to find. There is no lift, and the stairs are steep, making it difficult to move luggage up the stairs. There is a dumbwaiter available for moving luggage, but you have to get a staff member to use it, and they did not offer to let us use the dumbwaiter to move the luggage up three stairs when we checked in. Rooms are small and quite expensive. The nearby Moon's hostel is a better bet.

Location is excellent if you don't mind smelly room with absolutely zero soundproofing! Moreover, was not impressed by being initially offered an alternative room for an extra 25000 won for duration of stay only to be told after seeing the (other) room and agreeing to change it would actually be an extra 25000 won per night - maybe it was a language thing but it did not seem that way to us!

We had very thick mold smell in our room, but we had taken cheaper room without window, so it was impossible to ventilate the room. Also, the floor heating was sometimes so hot, that it was impossible to stand on the floor, and the water in the shower was freezing. Receptionist listened our concerns, but there was not much to do to those things during our stay (which was 3 nights). I would not stay again in this hostel, since it felt like they didn't care about customer satisfaction.
