Aroma Hotel

South Korea is a highly civilized country and charges for it at every step. For the frugal traveler, so-called "love" motels are an excellent option. This is the case here. Aroma Motel is located smack in the heart of Busan perched up near the LOTTE store and offers IMHO a fantastic value for your KRW. We actually stayed here almost 3 weeks, paying only a daily rate of half or a third of a comparable regular hotel. we had a large , new room, large bed, small couch, table, FAST cable internet, coffee/tea water dispense, fridge, phone and jacuzzi, 24 hr massive hot water, big towels and free water and juice and espresso machine in lobby, I mean, THIS is what I call a bargain. Hostel in Seoul would charge twice as much for nothing. Don't be mislead by the "love" motel tag. There are no hookers populating the place, on the contrary, it's the occasional middle class Korean couple, young or mature, that you will meet in the elevator, or sometimes a group of Japanese tourists, all jovial and none sleazy or threatening in any way. I even met a European family with two kids lodging here, as it is the best deal around. The AROMA Motel is a NEW 9 story building, so, floors are heated, new tiles, new hall ways, new elevator, so can't figure out why they stuck and old VCR under the large TV though..... have cab driver call them to help you find this place if you have heavy luggage, otherwise it's easy to walk to from subway.
