Roughly an hour's walk of a 1km cave of lava rocks and formations. Many informative boards explaining the geological formations inside and a scenic end point rock formation for photos. Admission is ₩2,000/pax.
It is not a scenic site but it is a unusual natural phenomena. It is a lava tunnel that is so long and looks like a metro tunnel. It is cool and the floor is a little wet and uneven, so proper footwear is advised. It is pretty dark at first but our eyes will adjust to it so walking is not a problem, the path is wide and there are lots of school kids on excursion so it is not frightening.
It is an UNESCO World Heritage Site and you can walk 1 km inside of this fantastic lava tube. It is also cold in summer. So take a jacket or sweatshirt with you!
Quite an impressive formation. The cave has an entrance fee and. It takes 10 minutes to reach the entrance and then about half an hour to get to the end point in the cave. Then all the way back on the same route (not a circular route). Not recommended for claustrophobics people. Like other caves, also this one has around 8 degrees temperature inside no matter when in a year.
1. Unconditionally comfortable shoes (Slippers x)
The floor is very rough.
2. Waterproof windshield (like outdoor) or raincoat
3. Umbrella if you don't like getting your hair wet
4. You can wear a brushed hoodie or sweatshirt
5. About 40 minutes round trip?
The weather is as of early September, so just for reference.
