Sindang Station, Jungang Traditional Market

I come to Seoul two or three times a year, often staying at The Shilla, Seoul, one of the world's best hotels in my opinion. Anyway, within walking distance I discovered the Jungang Market, which is one of my favorites. It specialises in dried fish and vegetables, but sells all kinds of amazing foods. All kinds of ground paprika in varying degrees of hotness, all kinds of strange Korean spices as well as more conventional things like soybeans or skinned mung beans. I have three knives that I bought here, simple and sharp high carbon steel, not fancy at all. It's a marvellous place if you like markets and enjoy interesting unfamiliar food. They also sell a wide range of invertebrates and unusual parts of familiar animals, like pigs' faces or chicken feet. Huge bowls of skinned garlic. Just wonderful.
