Seodaemun Prison History Hall

This is a place where we can't forget Korea's painful history and we can see the hard work and sacrifice of our ancestors who fought for Korea's independence. In particular, I was grateful that we were able to live a free life in Korea because of these people, as I watched the restored prison tickets of those who had been imprisoned. If you watch the movie "Resistance" before you go to the Seodaemun Prison History Hall, you will be able to improve your understanding of the place and see it more seriously. I recommend visiting here.

Solemn experience - excellent museum. Not too crowded. Very easy transportation from the Dongnimmun station.

A very revealing museum which highlights the brutal treatment Koreans received during Japanese colonial times. I highly recommend visiting even if you aren't a history buff.

100% visit this site regardless of whether you have studied Korean history or not. It will give you a deep perspective of what it was like under japanese rule and what prison life became because of it. They do not shy away from the atrocities that occurred there. Very informative and educational.
