Full of tourists due to the route being a transfer towards Nami Island. You have to be quick and lucky to get seat down. Otherwise it’s nearly an hour of standing until reaching Gapyeong station.

The Dongmajang Terminal, which was previously used as an intercity bus terminal in the eastern part of Seoul, lost the original geographic advantage of being a suburban area due to the expansion of the city and caused traffic jams in the city. As such, there have been plans to move to the suburbs continuously since the early 1980s. Accordingly, in preparation for the opening of the Chubu Expressway in the long term, along with the plan to move to the Dong Seoul Terminal, the Sangbong Terminal will be opened and completed on August 1, 1985. # At this time, the routes from Gangnam-do and Han-gang to the northeast of Gyeonggi-do were moved from the routes operated by Dongmajang Terminal and Mia Sales Office, and 120 routes from 11 transportation companies and 551 buses moved to Sangbong Terminal.[3] There are many wikis to think about whether the relocation to the Sangbong-dong due to the expansion of the city is only to move to Sangbong-dong. In light of the development situation in downtown Seoul at the time, Sangbong-dong was also a sufficient suburb. On the road at that time, the fastest route to Gangwon or Northeast from the eastern part of Seoul's Gangbuk area was via Route 6 from Sangbong-dong to the nearby Manguri Pass, passing through Guri and passing through Donong 3-way intersection.[4] Vehicles heading from Donongsamgeori to Chuncheon and Gapyeong operated on Route 46 [5], while buses heading to Yangpyeong or Hongcheon used Route 6 [6] And if the most important problem is to drive outwards unconditionally, transportation problems from the city to the terminal will not be solved.[7] Even at the opening of the Sangbong Terminal, the city of Seoul adjusted 23 city bus routes to expand traffic to the terminal. Later, the Seoul Outer Ring Expressway was extended to Toegyewon, and in 1993, the express bus route was introduced. 3. Around Transportation[edit] 3.1. Railway[edit] The Gyeongui Jungang Line, Gyeongchun Line, and Line 7 Sangbong Station, Gyeongui Jungang Line, and Gyeongchun Line Mangwoo Station are nearby. Sangbong Station's vice-versa name is the intercity bus terminal, but in reality, Mangyu Station is closer to the terminal. Unlike other bus terminals in Seoul, there is no subway line going to the city center at once! This is the root cause of the fall of the Sangbong Terminal, and at the time of the opening of the terminal, there were no city rail/wide-area lines passing through the area at all. It was useless at best. Only 20 years after the terminal opened, only the Gyeongui-Jungang Line wide-area trains started operating, but this is also very inconvenient because it requires a transfer from Hoegi Station and a long dispatch interval to enter the downtown area. Dongseoul Terminal Line #2, Gangnam Terminal and Central City, and Nambu Terminal #3 are plugged in by a broom in downtown Seoul. Nothing! At the beginning of the opening of the Sangbong Terminal, however, communication with Mangwoo was smoother than now, and the long-distance use rate of city buses in Seoul was much higher than now. As it was built, the Sangbong Terminal, which is inconvenient to use because it cannot be reached by subway from the city center at once, began to be turned away. Rather, if there was a subway, it might have survived as a backup for the East Seoul Terminal, just as Seoul Nambu Terminal serves as the auxiliary terminal for Gangnam Terminal [8]. At the time of the plan, Sangbong Station on Subway Line 7 was scheduled to turn east and be built close to the Sangbong Terminal. However, the linearity was rejected for reasons such as being twisted too much. Looking at the current situation in the Sangbong Terminal... At first, Line 7 also has options for Seoul's largest terminals, Seoul Express Bus Terminal and Central City. Since 2005, Mangyu Station began full-scale train operation in earnest. 3.2.
