Dr.Gina Sohn - U.S. Dentist in Korea

I don’t even know where to start. She is caring, meticulous, she pays attention, she does her job thoroughly. I also am from the US, and found out During my stay here, that I needed a root canal, after my front teeth was hurting for 4 days and my face swelled up all of the sudden. The procedure was done so smoothly, pain free and the results as well. Her office is supper clean. The whole team is very friendly. I recommend her to everyone. Thank you so much Dr Gina.

Coming from the US I was nervous about the dental care in Korea. I've had implants, multiple root canals & multiple crowns in the US so I'm familiar with dental work. Arriving to Korea I had a tooth that chipped badly & needed a crown. The Dr. Did a good job of testing to see if I needed a root canal also. Thankfully I didn't. I've also been for a cleaning & I have lots of sensitivity & the hygienist was careful & did a good job. After my cleaning it was noted I may need a root canal in a new area, but after discussion I'm able to wait & they will get me in asap if needed. I would definitely recommend this office!

I was coming from the US with a crown on a molar that needed to be replaced which I hoped to do while I was on a three week holiday in Korea. Dr Sohn corresponded with me in a timely, frequent, and clear fashion - answering my questions, providing me with excellent direction to her place, and setting appointments that were convenient for me. The office was very clean and modern and the staff pleasant and friendly. The crown was prepped and I scheduled a return visit to get the new crown placed. When I was unable to keep the second appointment due to a travel error on my part, Dr Sohn came in after hours to see me (I was leaving the next day). I was so very happy with the work (and price! and easy location!) done by this office. *I have had NIGHTMARE crown work done in the past by other dentists, so this was even more of a fabulous experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

Do not go here...they rush through patients and skip steps either due to neglect or incompetence. BL: My wife left with more pain. My wife was six months pregnant at the time of her appointment. She developed bleeding gums due to pregnancy gingivitis. The solution was a deep cleaning of tartar build up and then using a antibacterial mouthwash. The cleaning procedure supppose to start with a topical local anesthetic followed by an injected aesthetic into the gums and then the deep cleaning. Deep cleaning is rough and causes great pain if the anesthetic is not applied.. The dentist, rushing from one patient to another, failed to apply a local topical anesthetic (lidocaine) PRIOR to use large gauge needles to apply injected anesthetic. The dentist did not check if her dental hygienist team applied lidocaine prior to her coming in to do the anesthetic injection. My wife cried in pain as the dentist began and continued her injections until i rushed in from the waiting room to check. At that point, the dentist finally came to realized no local anesthetic was applied...even though my wife cried in stress as needles penetrated the inside roof of her gums. At the end of visit, the dental office was primarily concerned about billing my insurance and not the health of their patients...it was just about getting the rooms turned quickly for the next paying customer.

Was there in about 2013 and needed a root canal for a back molar. Very professional office, clear communication, low costs and no problems. My dentist and hygienists back home in Ontario compliment the the quality of the root canal and crown every time I go for a checkup.
