INDIGO Book Store

An American friend of mine wanted to show me and my son this place saying it is worth a visit. As we entered the waitress was very panicky and stopped us at the door asking if we are "travelers" "this place is not for travelers" she said is for youth...bla bla... (we couldn't understand the concept though her English was good but she didn't make us feel welcome at all. We explained that we just wanted to see what kind of place is it and tried to ask her to tell us. Instead, she handed us a brochure and waited for us to leave. On the way, out my son jumped on his skateboard and we were leaving. Old women sitting outside said to him "don't do that, bricks are weak". We left with a very bitter feeling not sure if the problem was racism or discrimination of the sort or they had a bad day but it definitely is not a place I would recommend to any "Traveller" or a Foreign looking person to visit. (We were caucasian BTW) and this is my first negative experience in Busan where we spent close to a year. Aside from this place, Busan is a very beautiful place with great local people who are kind to foreigners. I have emailed the establishment and received reply blaming COVID-19 for inability to provide satisfactory service experience and a wish to offer good service to future visitors.
