A cathedral belonging to the Catholic Diocese of Busan, located in Mandeok-dong, Buk-gu, Busan. In the late 1975, as the demolition of Choryang-dong moved, a believer was formed. In 1977, in preparation for the expansion of the city in the future, 1,320m2 of the cathedral site was purchased by the parish, and a 125m2 concrete building was built and used as a public space for land management. The newly built apartment complex was built and the number of believers increased rapidly, raising the need for promotion to the main hall. On May 31, 1981, the first priest was appointed by Father John Brendan of St. Golombano Foreign Mission. Since the establishment of the main hall, the necessity for the construction of the cathedral was raised due to the continued increase in believers, and the construction of the new cathedral was held on March 6, 1983. As expected, the number of believers continued to increase, especially as the number of believers increased due to the construction of an apartment complex in Sinmandeok, and the need for new churches was raised again. In November 1993, the current site of the cathedral was purchased at 2,340m2 and started construction in March of the following year, but the construction company went bankrupt due to the IMF, and construction was suspended. Nevertheless, as a result of the unity of Mandeok Catholics, a new temple was held on February 16, 1997. In the aftermath of the construction of the new cathedral for a long time, the emphasis was placed on the internalization of the main hall, rather than on the evangelization work in the area. As of 2013, there are many organizations such as the annual meeting, the Anna meeting, the Monica meeting, the festival, the rock meeting, and the general meeting, centered on the lay apostolic council. There are one chief priest, one assistant priest, two nuns, one secretary, and one clerk. The number of classmates is 4,950, and the patron saint is the advent of the Holy Spirit. The cathedral is about 2,350㎡, and the main building, the cathedral, auditorium, priest convent, etc., has a building area of ​​about 15,810㎡.
