Daegwallyeong Museum

This museum is well worth the visit. It has a number of excellent items of interest for understanding the history of Korea. The artifacts date back to the Bronze Age to the last dynasty’s of Korea. There are a number of different rooms that are age specific. Look at the photographs as I will cover the different areas of this excellent museum. The price of the museum is around one dollar. Great value for what you will see. Do not miss this treasure! Also the road on which it is located is a wonderful road to travel. The road leads up to the top of a 1000 meter high mountain.

We enjoyed our visit to this wonderful museum. It is a hidden gem.

They have surprisingly interesting artifacts. No story whatsoever, though. It's more of a personal collection than a museum.

It is a small museum located in Seongsan-myeon. There is an entrance fee. However, Gangneung residents can enter for free by presenting their ID. Inside the museum, various living items from the Joseon Dynasty are displayed. There are small artificial waterfalls, waterwheels, and stone statues around the museum. There are persimmon trees and various flowers. There is a pretty stream in the back. There are small things to see depending on the season. If you are visiting Daegwanryeong Old Road, please use the large free parking lot located behind the museum.

Although not big, it is a place where you can see old artworks and relics. If you go down the old road of Daegwallyeong, it is the place to meet, so it would be nice to stop by.
