Visited the 4th Infiltration Tunnel and then came up here. It's pretty cool to look into the DMZ and see North Korean soldiers on their lookout tower peering back. We really enjoyed coming here
Interesting experience, but not very informative. It would be best to do your own research on the topic beforehand, as there is not a lot of English information available. Also, no photography allowed.
Amazing, to stand in a place where so many gave thier lives.
This was the most impressive place I visited while in (South) Korea. I can't compare this to the bigger DMZ spot which you can visit with tour companies, but I can definitely recommend Eulji Observatory. The quietness makes this place so eerie. The atmosphere is very tense on one side, while on the other side, the South Korean valley sits as if the DPRK is a friendly neighbour. You can see some DPRK controlled huts and border posts and there are some interesting facts written down on a piece of paper. Also, the trip here goes through nice mountainous terrain. Terrifying but amazing!
It's not very large, but it has great views. Pretty much no English, but it's a cool experience.
