Safari Village Hotel Wasgamuwa

The location at the lake is scenic. Unfortunately nobody realized that we made a booking and the place was deserted on arrival and nobody answered the phone. Just before we left, somebody showed up by chance. Our bungalow wasn't very clean and full of small insects that were flying and crawling all over the place, despite the nets at the windows. Once they arrived, the staff wad nice and helpful and the food was ok.

Good place good rates everythings in satisfactory level

A huge resort with small bungalows directly at the lake. The rooms are clean but you can see that it was built 20 years ago. The stuff is really friendly and the food delicious. They will also help you organise safari tours. There is only 1 hotel around but it is >200$. Book online on Agoda. It is cheaper as the local rate.

If you seek for a hide out from your busy schedule, this is the place to be. With the dunivila lake and knuckles mountain range in the backdrop would definitely calm your mind...
