The Calm Resort & Spa

Our stay in The Calm Resort is a very relaxing one and we get a free upgrade to Garden Collection category. Room is clean and had all the amenities we need to spent our holiday. Resort got a nice and clean pool. During our stay they offer us a all inclusive package and it was a good deal, Foods are delicious and they had buffet meals for dinner and breakfast. Finally the staff is very friendly and kind enough to fulfill all our needs. Date of stay: December 2019

Our stay at The Calm Resort and Spa was simply wonderful! When we arrived we received a warm welcome and they even surprised us with a great free upgrade to a beautiful garden room, right by the pool and beautiful beach! There was a lot of variety during breakfast, lunch and dinner and the wonderful staff made sure everything went smoothly and were very helpful. Everything was so clean; the rooms, the pool, the beach and the garden, the restaurant and the indoor areas…. all the staff made sure everything was so clean and tidy and made you feel so welcome! rest of the hard working hotel team for their wonderful hospitality! Located in Pasikudah which is about 35km North of Batticaloa The Calm Resort Spa promises guests a beautiful tropical getaway along the East coast of Sri Lanka. The location is easily accessible from the towns of Batticaloa and Trincomalee which is also along the Eastern coast. Trincomalee and Batticaloa are both accessible by road and rail while trains and buses run both ways on a regular basis. If guests prefer a drive along the main roads, that can be arranged from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.Pasikudah is known for its white sandy beaches which are located at the South Eastern edge of the bay. The sandy bottom which runs below 8 meters is known for its coral growth and numerous fish making it one of the perfect spots for night diving. The Kayankerni and Bar Reefs are ideal spots for snorkelling and shallow diving. Excursions can also be made to the Pigeon Island which is North of Trincomalee which will be a memorable underwater experience with vibrant corals and fish beneath turquoise coloured waters. Deep sea diving can also be enjoyed off the coast of Trincomalee where there are a few shipwrecks that can be explored with the help of certified divers. The Calm Resort Spa in Pasikudah offers guests a range of gourmet dishes at the restaurant which will take you on an interesting culinary journey. The resort's bar is a fine place to sip your favourite cocktails and mocktails. When you are not enjoying your time by the beach, you can always enjoy a swim in the outdoor swimming pool or just laze around all day. Love the place. Excellent service, specially the front desk and the management. They try to fulfil your request as they can.

The location was great and also the hotel is well maintained.The hotel is big and spacious and it has a very large pool.But the worst thing is food because the food was not that great
