I wish I could give Kamal 6 stars. We'd never done a trip with a guide and were a little afraid it would be awkward or uncomfortable — and in the end I think we both shed some tears saying goodbye! Traveling to a new place is always better if you know someone there — and that's what it felt like with Kamal by our side. He knew all the best spots, secret hidden gems, and tons of history of each area we visited. He is also honest, funny, and a pleasure to be around. We felt like we were getting an insider's tour of Sri Lanka, and he took great care to accommodate our wishes and needs; I was 5 weeks pregnant at the time, and Kamal took care to adjust the details of our itinerary — from the food we ate to the breaks we took, even ensuring I got the least bumpy seat on every safari :) He also cheerfully honored our wishes to avoid attractions that favored captivity, cruelty and elephant riding, which other tour guides (due to commission paid them by the attractions) had ignored. Take a trip with Kamal, you will not be disappointed! Overall our experience in Sri Lanka was fabulous, but we did one week with Kemal and one week (afterwards) on our own, and realized how much richer our experience was with his guidance. We recommend Sri Lanka to all our friends and family now... but only if they go with Kamal!

What can I say? I had booked a trip with Kamal(Guide) through a friend of my mine and I never regretted meeting him. This is my 1st ever trip to Sri Lanka and it was made Awesome because of having Kamal around. He first greeted us with such friendliness at the airport. His vehicle was so clean, comfortable and spacious. I was in Sri Lanka for about 10 days and he was so accommodative and always full of energy. We had a agenda of covering some stuff in a stipulated time and sometimes we had to leave at some times wee hours of the night and even due to long travels, we had to check-in later, but despite our schedule planned, Kamal was so understanding and ensure that we are well-taken off. One thing that is great about him is that, he gives the most genuine and frank recommendations which is not the touristic ones (for activities, food, hotels etc) which gets you to experience the best of Sri Lanka. He also listened to our requests carefully and ensures that it is met to above expectations. He also went an extra mile in getting things done for us and amazed us with his gestures. He has become more of a friend than a guide. He even invited us to his house during the Tamil New Year to have lunch with his family. We felt so touched on their humbleness. As a travel guide, Kamal is the best find. He even arranged the tours and train rides before hand when we wanted to try them out. It was very easy to communicate with him and he is so profound in knowledge that he is walking reference for Sri Lanka. I enjoyed every bit of the trip and I would definitely recommend Kamal as Guide and Driver anytime to anyone! He must be the 1st on your list! Thank you Kamal! Thank you for everything!! I am definitely coming back to Sri Lanka and Kamal is THE PERSON to go to!! Fantastic!!

Kamal is a super nice and experienced tour guide. We saw a lot and had a lot of fun together. I can only recommend Kamal as a tour guide and am looking forward to my next tour with him.
