Cinnamon Museum and Visitors' Center

Cinnamon Museum isn't open yet, Cinnamon tour not worth 1500lkr per person (!) to see simple bark stripping. Go to Handunugoda Tea Museum for better (and free!) Cinnamon tour - plus tea tour. Went to Mirissa Hills Cinnamon Farm in Aug 2019 and told museum is opening next month. Website promised opening in 2010. Your guess as good as mine to when it might open. Cinnamon tour is short walk in Cinnamon farm and then one room factory where bark is peeled from sticks. Interesting for sure, but not worth 1500 that will never get to the poor Cinnamon stripper and his family working nonstop for per-piece wages. Really disappointed in the cost/experience especially after going to Handunugoda Tea Farm.
