Hakoluwawa Tharaka Ella Water Fall

It is not a waterfall literally, but the water flowing through rocks of about 1-2 meters of height. The stream coming through the Poththapitiya town makes this waterfall. So lot of dirt and garbage can be seen. Some people get itchy after having a bath. Illegal sand miners have digged the stream so be carefull not to fall into the digs. Drunkards have crushed the liquor bottle around the area as well as the stream, so be carefull not to cut your legs.

A waterfall that has not lost its natural beauty due to human activities or constructions. Remains somewhat hidden because it is not one of the popular destinations. The upper section of the waterfall is more accessible and there are several cascades and natural pools which are ideal for having a bath.
