This is the post graduate arm of the prestigious Faculty of Agriculture of University of Peradeniya. Many disciplines related to agriculture are taught here. Other subjects offered at PGIA include Businesses Management and Organizational Management and Developmental Communication. Students can obtain MSc, MPhil and PhD degrees. There is a good mix of qualified teaching staff from University of Peradeniya and other universities.

Very useful place for masters studies

A premier institute in Postgraduate Higher Education in Agriculture in Sri Lanka. The institute offers a variety of degrees from M.Sc. and M.Phil. to Ph.D. It covers all major sub area in Agriculture. Students can register to the programs at any time but for coursework only programs have an annual intake. The institute has a close link with Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya where most of the memebers of the teaching panels are composed of.
