Institutionalized agricultural education for middle level agriculturists was started in 1916 at the School of Tropical Agriculture, Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. The school provided practical agricultural training for future agricultural instructors, headmen, teachers and students interested in agriculture. In 1941 it was relocated in Gannoruwa, in new buildings now occupied by the In-service Training Institute. The Girl’s Farm School was inaugurated in 1948 at Kundasale, and male students were recruited to the school in 1958. Then the School was named as School of Agriculture, Kundasale. The medium of instruction was Sinhala and Tamil. In 1966 the school in Peradeniya was amalgamated with the school at Kundasale.

I had visited place. Students learn about Sri Lankas agriculture... Only special occasion can visit this College...

This place is an government institute. Most agriculture instructors are trained wel in here. This is an internal education point.
