Calm Hut

We stopped to the Calm Hut on the way to Little Adam’s Peak. Ordered some juices, vegetable roti and salads. Food was really good, tasty and freshly prepared. Prices are in line with the other restaurant of Ella. The restaurant has a nice terrace and being on a secondary road is quite calm and relaxing.

Came here for lunch, were the only people in the restaurant but were served quickly and food was delicious! Got the vegetable rice and curry and was pleasantly surprised at the spice - Sri Lanka doesnt seem to do that well. Interesting the other reviews weren't great, we enjoyed our experience!

Terrible service. Food was just OK. Waiting over an hour for the food to come. My 3 friends got served their meals and had finished them by the time mine came. I was told mine would be 5mins then the server came back and asked me if I wanted something different and suggested a dish (the deviled beef), I accepted because I was starving. It arrived within a few minutes at the same time the server asked if we wanted the bill all together or separate. The bill was brought immediately. I was still eating. The deviled beef was hard to chew. The vegetable rice had the remains of a prawn shell in it. The server stood over us while we were working out the bill. We were not impressed by the service, food or the depressing/suicidal music.

We had a very tasty vegetable curry there with salad, the chef cooked special chilly for us by request which was yummy! Prices and choices of dishes are quite good

Best place to eat for a fare amount...!! ♥️
