Polgolla Reservoir Airport (KDZ)

Kandy does not have a regional airport and this is the only option for flying passengers. It takes only 22 minutes from Waters Edge to Kandy but reaching Waters Edge for one landing at Katunayake main airport will take long time. If they have flights operating from sea (ex. Negambo) near Main airport with competitive prices this route could become very popular.

A great Dock for boarding to a seaplane!! A small but good dock. With a great View of the mahaweli river. You could contact to book your flight ticket in Cinnamon hotels.

Suitable for an evening or morning walk, very beautiful, peaceful scenery. Very relaxing and calming atmosphere. This place is well protected by police. Sometimes they don’t allow to take photos. Since the reservoir is very deep, make sure not to fall in it while taking selfies and photos. It’s ok to enjoy whatever the beverages you take with you , but avoid throwing bottle and cans to the nature.
