Jayathu collected us from our ship in Colombo dock and took us on an wonderful trip to Galle via a turtle sanctuary and moonstone mine. He took us to a lovely restaurant and made it a wonderful day. On return to Colombo he took us on a short trip to see some sites including a Buddhist temple. He had to organise a special permit so that he could collect us early from the ship. This is essential and not easy but he made all the arrangements for us. His English is excellent and commentary was very interesting.
