AVOID AVOID 1. Rooms had been insect bombed shortly before our arrival. Upon opening our doors, we were engulfed in a white smelly mist which stuck around for the duration of our stay - terrible to be breathing in. 2. Insect bombs were not effective however and our room was full of mosquitoes, plus a terrifying centipede about 15 cm long. 3. We asked our host to arrange a three-wheeler to a local supermarket (7.1km). He called his friends to take us (fair enough), and then told us the trip would cost 800 LKR (not fair-enough). Having stayed in the area before we knew this was a total rip-off and told him so . He argued his case, so we just went with it. Our trip home (with a metered three-wheeler) cost 275 LKR so it is clear the host was ripping us off. Note to the host: If you want us to come back to your accommodation next time we are in Sri Lanka, recommend our friends to you or leave you a good review, you must treat us well during our stay, not rip us off. 4. No air-conditioning, lots of mosquitoes, beds are very small with no bedsheets, dirty, creepy-crawleys, a host that is happy to rip you off... AVOID AVOID.

Actually the hotel is not where it says it is. I booked it because supposedly it was right outside the airport, a few hundred meters. But in reality it is 4 km away. This caused quite a bit of stress for us arriving after midnight.
