New Entrance

There are no signs stating that I can’t enter. I am even wearing the correct clothes.

The security checkpoint to the Temple, you will be segregated, your bag searched and you are required to wear respectful attire. Women and men will be offered to rent coverings for their legs. T-shirts with acceptable designs will be accepted (no Iron Maiden tops) but bare shoulders are not permitted.

The entrance to the Sri Dalada Maligawa. This is a check point. They would search your bags and also check if your wearing a suitable dress to enter the premises. You shouldn’t wear any revealing dresses so that it wouldn’t disrespect anyone. They would lend you a cloth to cover yourself if necessary!! Pls do be respectful and disciplined!!

The Main Entrance to the Sri dalada Maligawa Temple. Security Screening is done here. You have to wear "Non revealing" clothing to enter. Otherwise a cloak will be provided for you.
