Very nice place, we learned a lot about different spices. Cool guide. No pressure to buy anything, but they do have a huge selection of home-made natural products

The New Ranweli Spice Garden is located close to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and serves as the ideal place from which you can learn about the aromatic spices and herbs of Sri Lanka. As a country that is extremely famous for its rare selection of herbs and spices, Sri Lanka is home to some of the best spices in the world and nowhere can this be explored better than in the New Ranweli Spice Garden. The spice garden displays about ten various spice plants that include pepper corns, turmeric, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa and a plethora of other herbs and spices grown its in natural environment. In addition to viewing these spices, visitors are also welcome to purchase some of it at a steep premium. A quiet visit to the New Ranweli Spice Garden, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, also serves as an educational outing where visitors can learn how herbs and spices are grown in Sri Lanka.

Fun and little 'cheeky' but very education. Great to see spices growing.
