This is the local government health authority in Wattala Medical Officer of Health(MOH) area which includes Wattala, Maththumagala, Welisara, Mahabage, Nayakkanda, Hendala, Bopitiya areas. The staff is comprised of Medical officers of Health, Public Health Nursing Sisters(PHNS), Supervising Public Health Midwife (SPHM), public health midwives (PHM), public Health Inspectors (PHI) and the supportive staff. They provide community health services at your doorstep. Eg- maternal & child care, preconception care, infection disease control , investigate & provide solutions to environmental /occupational health problems .
