Mirissa

Small station near Weligama. This is the nearest station to mirissa beach. If you travel in the middle part of the train it's easier for you to get off the train; otherwise you have to be carfeul while getting off the train as the platform here is very small. You can travel from railway station to the main road (2.5km) by hiring a tuk.

Better to get down from weligama if your destination is Mirissa town. This station is 2 and half kms away from main road and it will be hard to catch a tuk if you get down from Mirissa.

Well known station but short platform and very small building. Very far from the main road.

Miles from the towan and the Tuk tuks know it! be in the middle of the train and listen to the guard. Platform is very very short.
