Mama's Here Restaurant

Everybody opens a restaurant in Sri Lanka but only few serve truly delicious food. Mama’s Here is definitely one of them. I’ve had the devilled fish (tuna) and it was finger licking good! Incredible richness in the flavour. You can taste that the food is prepared by a professional chef. Hands down best devilled I’ve had in the country and can’t wait to go back and try other dishes as well.

Delicious food ! We came with our kids and had the grilled fish, prawns and calamari. All three were very tasty and fresh from the day ; plates are generous and well accompanied by mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was non spicy which was particularly appreciated by our kids. As a starter we got roasted bread (not on the pictures) with local vegetable chips, also very good ! And their juice is also fresh and good. We recommend going there !!

What a place, the food is delicious and the service is great. While you´re waiting, their dogs are great entertainment. Lovely place run by lovely people.

Best local food I’ve had in Sri Lanka! We came back always every night during our week in Kalpitya and a suggestion is to ask for traditional Sri Lankan food! We had mostly vegan food/curry with fresh vegetables. Highly recommended.

Amazing sea food (crab is delicious). Make sure you don't miss the fried pineapple dessert.
