The Araliya Retreat Restaurant

My God. This is the nicest place I have ever stayed. Wow. I spent 3 days at there. There was a beautiful view with the lagoon. Only they have 3 cabanas but those are very nice, very clean ,so beautiful, marvellous. As well as their staff, they are very good, very friendly including the manager. I want to go again...

Amaizing calm and quiet place. Good yummy food. Friendly staff. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Very very very very hard to reach..no proper road..but situated in a nice area near the lagoon..it's not a big "retreat or a restaurent"as said in the name..only 2 rooms and a dining area.. room facilities are great..if you are going out to meals,it's beter if you contact them and arrange your requirements beforehand..the food is good and fresh..but not excellent..

We had the pleasure of staying 01 night at the Araliya Retreat Restaurant (we wish we could have stayed more!!). We occupied all the 3 chalets and had the place for ourselves. An ideal location for relaxation. The surroundings are so peaceful and tranquil - as the hotel borders the lagoon. The morning views are magnificent. A special word of appreciation to the Manager/Chef, Lakshan who is a fantastic host. His meal preparation is exquisite. He very kindly prepared us a wonderful crab curry for breakfast. One of the best we have ever had!! The rooms are nice, large and spacious with private verandahs overlooking the Puttalam Lagoon. This is a suggestion for the Management - it will be really good to have a tea/coffee corner in the rooms. This would have made our stay complete. We woke up very early in the morning, enjoyed the views and would have loved to sit out with a cup of tea/coffee, but we had to stay for the staff to wake up. Please consider. Today, it is a basic amenity for hotels. Thank you very much for a memorable stay. We will definitely visit again!!
