Sun Wind Beach Kite Resort and Kite School Kalpitiya

Absolutely loved this place, that's why we decided to stay an extra week! The people are so nice and funny! Such a good vibe at the resort! The kitesurf-spot in the lagoon is also great! Mama's food is delicious! We'll for sure go here again!

I was there in December 2019. It has taken me a bit to write about them because I couldn't find the words to express what have they meant to me. I discovered at their place that it takes less than a week to love someone. We felt like at home. Mom's food was incredible. They helped me overcome my fears and I finally did it, I did kitsurf!!! Thanks Susantha and family, you'll always be in my heart. I'll be back for sure!!!

Simply the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The hospitality was so warm and welcoming. A really great place to escape reality and enjoy the simple things in life, like awesome local food, beers, great company and the beautiful landscape. There's kite surfing lessons if you're that way inclined, I chose to hang out in a hammock most of the time! Thanks for a great stay Susantha- I can't wait to return!

LOVED my stay here. Absolute heaven. Susantha and his entire family make you feel so welcome and the food is to die for! I do not kite surf but had a wonderful time just watching them. It is an extremely relaxed environment and I left feeling fully refreshed!

I visited Sun Wind Beach to just get away from the 'world'. I was so amazed how beautiful it was. I booked for three nights, but extended the stay for a week. A friend I was staying with decided to do the kite surfing, but I chose to just relax and enjoy the surrounds. My cabana was very comfortable, as I listened to the sounds of stillness at night. I would chill out in the gardens, reading a book, and just enjoying my time. I did walks around the property, and adored the freshest food - the best in seafood and fruit. I would like to thank Susantha and family for a great stay. They are very friendly and always greet you during the day. They know so much about the area, as I was fascinated with its history and culture. I am returning as soon as I can. Thanks again.
