The rooms are cute. But would benefit from minor maintenance and tlc. No wifi whilst I was there. The buffet breakfast and dinner were lacking in choice and quantity as well as napkins, water on each table, glasses, cutlery....evening entertainment, hotel design and shop next door make it a pleasant stay.
This place and management are terrible. My husband and I reserved a King suite, were given a standard room. No WiFi, the room was shabby, bathroom had tiles cracked, all fixtures were oxidized, grounds unkempt with weeds and dead plants. There was broken glass around the pool. When we talked to the manager, he kept telling us, they had just opened, I’m assuming he meant, just reopened due to Covid.
The lack of maintenance and general deterioration of this hotel, have nothing to do with Covid, it is long deferred lack of maintenance. If they weren’t prepared to reopen, they should not have and their poor management is not our fault. We have stayed in many Riads and local B&B’s on this trip. They have all had issues with Covid, as has the world, they all managed to reopen professionally and give stellar hospitality to guests, likely with less staff, as they were smaller. Many used the unfortunate pandemic to refurbish and turned it into a positive.
Upon checkout we asked if we would receive a refund on the difference between the room we paid for and the room we were given, about $50, suddenly the manager didn’t speak or understand English.
Wonderful place so peaceful and calm
Plainly put, this hotel is a dump. We stayed here as part of the EXOTTICA Morocco 10 day Kasbah Tour. First the good things. Beautiful grounds and pretty good reception area. Food was adequate at best. Zero imagination from the kitchen. The rooms are a throwback to the era of basic accommodations i.e. bed ( which had a bloody awful mattress), bathroom that leaked from the toilet, yellow water from the bathroom sink, dirty in general floor, paper thin walls and soap that did not lather. If that isnt enough, the tv set was from the 1980's with 5 stations. Just an awful experience and worthy of 0 stars. Avoid if you can. Stay in another hotel and pay the extra. You wont regret it.
It is really nice on the outside. When you go into the room you immediately see a very outdated room. The beds were very sagging in the middle. The bathroom was falling apart. This place is more for backpackers than anything. I won't stay here again.
