Get away from touristy Disneyland and see how the locals shop! We enjoyed picking up ingredients for dinner and found the fresh produce just amazing. Everything had such colour, aroma and flavour, something that is often forgotten in supermarkets. There are also many olive and lemon stands which sell olives at unbelievably low prices!

Essaouira is a refreshing break from Marrakech. The people are much more relaxed, and the air is fresher! Enjoy the old town, and this beautiful square, where you can buy the cheapest olives on the planet! Around each corner is a new, amazing splash of colour!

Old square with market stalls selling many spices and ingredients. This is were the local shop so the prices are great.

Very special place. I recommend to visit all the tourists who decided to spend some time in Essaoira
