The mausoleum is a historical landmark of Rabat and also the resting place of King Mohammed V. The grounds are also a nice place to come and relax and it's hardly ever busy (at least on the several occasions that I have been there). It's particularly pleasant to come here in the late afternoon/early evening.

One of the MUST places to visit while in Rabat. Mausoleum is very beautiful inside. Its open during the day and possible to visit the upper balcony, from which you can look inside the hall with tomb of Mohammed V and his 2 sons, Hassan II and Abdallah. Rise your hear up to see beautiful mosaic on ceiling, typical Moroccan art in architectural perfection.
