It may be difficult to enter the government building, which is still in use until this moment since 1952, after 4 years of construction. I was refused at the entrance even tho it is normally free and entrance is permitted for anyone.. But a guard came up to me and said I cannot enter without a guide or I can pay him to enter...
Basically the guard was asking for a bribe !
I am not the first person to whom this has happened and I am not the last..
Otherwise it is supposed to very nice inside but I will never get to see it thanks to the corrupt guard's who operate security on the premises...
Bad souvenir of Casablanca a city I would almost advise not going to in Marocco not much to see compared to the rich culture, architecture, landscapes & people the rest of Marocco has to offer !
Explore the magnificent moorish architecture. This is a must to see for first visit travelers. However, you need a guide to have access to the inside. Take as much picture as possible. The place is no more a courthouse but an administrative quarter so it might be restricted for some official ceremonies...
I love the place I think conducted this is one of the best Monument or the Casablanca with a very old and interesting architecture with full art géométrie historique atmosphère definitely a great place to go if you are for one day in the old city of Casablanca.
