It is one of the most famous tourist places in Casablanca that links its past with its present, that is, the old city with its old neighborhoods, streets and alleys, with the new city with modern buildings and designs. Not only that, the square is the main focal point in the Moroccan city to go anywhere and every place you want during the tourism holiday in Casablanca, where dozens of restaurants, cafes, high-end hotels, shops and shopping centers are located around where you can buy whatever you want, a cinema, travel agencies, car rental and several banks Offices and a tram stop. The design of the Place de la Nations in Casablanca dates back to the French architect Joseph Marcet during the early seventies, and the clock tower and the metal monument resembling the globe and palm trees are among the most famous icons that visitors arriving for tourism in Casablanca accept to visit and take the most wonderful personal photos with them.

UN Square is the focal point of the city of Casablanca, right in the center of the downtown Casablanca. Bab Marrakesh (Marrakesh Gate) is right under the clock tower, facing the steel globe, in front of the Hotel Hyatt Regency and host of coffee/tea houses and restaurants. Bab Marrakesh is the most popular shopping place for the tourists. There used to be an underground shopping plaza right underneath the globe but it was closed years ago for cleaning, renovating and re-arranging. Still no word of its reopening. The square is always crowded, day and night with famous narrow Bazaar of the old walled Medina (old city). It's a shopping paradise not only for the tourists but also for locals. Newly introduced beautiful Tramway has added tremendous charm to the square. A very lively place indeed. Two things you cannot miss while visiting Casablanca: The first is the Hassan-II Mosque, and the second Bab Marrakesh located at the UN Square.
