Riad Houdou

Lovely hotel. Staff greeted us with a nice mint tea service and explained the workings of the hotel. The breakfast was good and served on the roof with an interesting view of the Medina. Staff took time to explain the souk and walked us part way to point out landmarks. Two in my group enjoyed a massage at the hotel. WiFi was spotty at times.

Truly amazing, the food, the staff, the rooms, everything was just perfect. We were welcomed like in a family and would loved to stay longer. The prices for the rooms were totally adequate.

The Houdou is definitely a hidden gem (in a great location!). We absolutely loved our room. All the little details are wonderful, and the hospitality is next level. Breakfast on the rooftop was the perfect start to the day. Above all, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Thank you so much to Didier and the entire Houdou team!

This riad is gorgeous and feels like entering a sanctuary from the streets of Marrakech. We stayed here the last night of our trip and wish that we had more time to spend. We also found the folks who welcomed us much more informative on local customs and tourism etiquette than the other places we had stayed through our trip. If we had started here we would've been better off! Give yourself at least two nights here to fully appreciate it, as they have all sorts of books to read or drink tea in, a spa, day trips, even some animals to appreciate! We loved watching two tortoises stroll through the courtyard. Most employees we encountered spoke great English and French for travelers (which we appreciated so much) and those who didn't we're happy to use Google translate when needed. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking to be in an inspiring sanctuary with plenty of space to lounge and soak up the sun on the roof. We didn't have a chance to take a dip in the pool but it looked great!

Riad Houdou is a jewel of subtle elegance and tranquility within the ancient walls of the often wild and chaotic Marrakech Médina. It is your delightful resting place nestled in the heart of the beast. And its charm doesn’t stop there -the Riad’s restaurant offers better food than anything we found elsewhere in Marrakech. Their massage therapist is top-notch and the staff is authentically kind and accommodating and go all out to make your stay the best possible. I want to thank all of you by name, since you were all so wonderful- Thank you Diddier, Eric, Abdel, Samira, Hassan and Aziz! We had a great time in Marrakech, largely due to your kindness and hospitality.
