Really worth a quick visit. You will be let in by someone at the gate if you hang out there inquiringly. I wasn't pressured to pay them, unlike in many Moroccan non-Muslim cemeteries.
Jewish cemetery of Asilah is on the sea shore outside the city. This walled cemetery is guarded by older man with his daughter. Outside the gate there is a phone number to call and to arrange a visit. He speaks French, Spanish and Arabic, but no English.
Old Jewish cemetery close to the sea. It’s abandoned and there is a man who allows you to enter and explains you the story behind the families buried there. If you look carefully you could find the Simi Roif’s tomb and read the touching epitaph by her parents. A place to discover in Assilah.
