My partner took me to Riad Al Mendili Kasbah for my birthday as a complete surprise! It was amazing, we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves for our short 3 night stay. greeted with refreshing mint tea, shown around by the owners and then left to settle in. The sunbeds were comfy and the service was faultless, despite the language barrier! The food was lovely and it was great to see my partner try all different things that I didn't expect he would! The trip was relaxing and laid back with a couple of days lounging by the pool and then going for dinner with reasonably priced wine and finishing with a couple of games of pool! We would love to visit again!

Stayed with my boyfriend at the end of April this year. Our experience was terrible but I'm not one to write negative reviews, and so I didn't. However, it's been nearly two months and it seems the injuries I sustained during what should have been a routine leg waxing have turned to permanent scars. So here we go. 1) Calling itself a resort and spa is a vast embellishment of the offerings of this country home. 2) No 24 hour concierge, you can come back during daylight to find the imposing front door shut and no one in sight. 3) Understaffed, and the staff speaks no English despite being advertised for English speakers- it took three days, multiple translation apps and photo references for my boyfriend to get a cappuccino with breakfast. This is a weird sentence I know because cappuccino isn't a word that needs translating. The whole thing gets even weirder when I tell you that cappuccino is on the breakfast menu. 4) The owners and manager and off-sight foreign marketer are wolfishly rude. Remember that wax that burned my legs and left scars? I tried to tell the owner- no interest, no apology or sympathy. In fact they tried to slip the wax onto our dinner bill one night and make the poor overworked waiter try to deal with it. One morning we lounged late during the breakfast hour and were chastised by the female owner, who would repeatedly tell us she spoke no English as to avoid being helpful, yet spoke enough English to try to accuse us of coming to breakfast late and make us feel guilty for eating slowly (we were seated and served within breakfast hours, the owner just didn't know her own menu or hours). One time we tried to ask the manager a question about an off sight activity, he replied that he needed to make a phone call and then was not seen for two days. 5) There is no restaurant- you get one lukewarm option at breakfast lunch and dinner and need to tell them WELL IN ADVANCE if you would like to take them up on their paltry excuse for a restaurant. SO if you would like to be made to feel like an unwelcome house guest, in a bizarre scenario which I can only surmise is a retired couple who would like to live in a mansion with staff but cannot afford it and so begrudgingly takes on guests, go for it. Just know you be driving 30 minutes down a dirt road to get to this place, there is nothing else around, and you'll be made to feel like your breaking house rules when you try to utilize the advertised services. Oh cherry on top- 3 female guests checked in two nights after we arrived and this crazy couple literally tried to chase them from the establishment in dark of night claiming they had no reservation and could not accommodate them. Beyond rude, beyond inhospitable. SO many better options around.

My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to have the Riad to ourselves for a few days in early October and it was an absolute pleasure. The Riad is very beautiful and peaceful and around 30 minutes from Marrakech by car. The 3 course meals are delicious and we had something new to try every night, wines and drinks are very reasonable considering the location. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, despite us speaking different languages! Would definitely stay again and recommend it!

What an incredible place to stay. The downside is that we wished we could have stayed longer as this was the highlight of our holiday. Amazing service, rooms, lunch & dinner is an absolute must. It is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the view of the high altas mountains or visit Marrakech during the day. Huge compliments to the owners and the lovely staff for their amazing service!
