The Jewish Tower is a symbol of Larache, it has a renowned presence and is now not in use. It was a watchtower that defended the Kasbah Gate. It is the only square shaped Tower within the walls from the 15th century, as all the others were semi-circular. This leads experts to believe that it was built before the Kasbah and was later incorporated into its design. Possibly dating back to the middle of the 8th century, it was built by the Marinid Sultan Yusuf Abd al-Haqq as a defensive Palace, very popular in Granada during the Nasrid dynasty. It has a medieval appearance due to the use of stone machicolations in the corners. It still has a stone coat of arms from the Habsburg Dynasty in Spain, a period in which it was refurbished. The name comes from a legend that tells us the story of a Jewish person that was found hanging from the battlements.

Known as the Tower of the Jew by a curious legend, it is a defensive-military construction from the 14th century of Benimerí origin and it has the coat of arms of the Habsburgs on its façade. Mainly archaeological finds from the nearby ruins of Lixus. In a beautiful environment next to the Comandancia, the Castle of the Storks and the Garden of the Hespérides, a space that should be arranged and cared for, it is worth a visit after a walk through the Medina and contemplate the views.
