When I got to the agency to pick-up the car, the guy working there was not even aware of my reservation. When he looked it up, he said that the car will be available in FOUR hours. Of course I was furious and said that was unacceptable. Then he suggested to drive me to the airport and pick another car that was in a lower category because that was the only one that available then. He said that someone from HQ will contact me to rectify the situation, but I never heard from anyone. I would definitely avoid this place.

Still waiting on the deposit of more than 1.500 €. Its been more than a month now and no one seems to care no matter how often you ask them. Car was returned like it was picked up, spotless. Big trouble, very unnecessary. Edit: After five weeks I got an e-mail that the car had been returned with a scratch and that it has to be repaired before the deposit can be transferred back. Please everybody (and this goes for all the rental companies worldwide) make sure that you have the condition of the car thoroughly checked with an employee before taking off. Take pictures and videos of any scratch or dent, the more the better. Also when dropping off, keep the vehicle condition report and never ever sign it when in doubt of a scratch, no matter how small it seems. Edit 2: I got the deposit back after 7 weeks minus 250 € for a new rear light. Since no one actually gets the money on their private account my guess is, that they sell the parts and split the money. I cant think of another reason why they would make such a fuss over a small scratch but I am open to other ideas.

(Previous negative reviews were deleted by the business, so I had to repost this) An absolute awful company. These people will scam you out of your money. Be very careful if you rent with them. They will confirm one price online and over the phone, and then tell you another when you try to pick up the car. This company should have its business permit revoked.

Should be 0 star. Stealers, fraudulent. They use franchise name for defrauding people. Don't don't don't deal with them. This is not advice, you must not to deal with them otherwise you punish yourself.

We came to the office on time but nobody was there. We had to call the manager. When he finally came he tried to persuade us to pay double price (some insurance) but we refused. Then we tried to pay for the car and block the deposit on credit card but the card of the driver did not work. After that we decided to pay the double price with lower deposit and it also did not work. The manager wanted us to add a second driver and pay with his debit card (that is very strange because rental companies usually accept only credit cards), but we rather left. In a few minutes, the driver noticed that the first transaction was realised and there is 1300 euro blocked on his credit card. We went to the office to complain, but the manager said it is not his problem. Finally, we called the bank and the blockation was deleted. Then we used amazing rental company Estrella which is just nearby (the credit card "magically" started to work)! However, local branch of Hertz/Thrifty is very strange, it is possibly a scam. The manager probably annuled somehow the first transaction because he did not like the lower amount, but the money was blocked (at least for some time) and since there was not much money on the credit card (driver does not use it usually) new transaction with double price did not work. Avoid!
