Where do I begin! 😞😐😮😕
A group of us went there on Saturday night as the locals recommended Saturday was the best night to go there and enjoy the live bands.
The waitress welcomed us and seated us upstairs. She informed us that all the Lebanese dishes were filled with flavours of traditional Lebanese herbs and spices. I asked her in particular about the Kibbeh whether it was from a frozen pack or homemade. She was happy and proud to confidentially say that the Kibbeh was homemade and that everything was freshly made on the spot. She said exactly what we wanted to hear. It sounded so perfect that one would think, the sentence was rehearsed to perfection.
Nevertheless we gave her the benefit of the doubt and accepted her sells pitch line.
On that note we ordered a variety of dishes. The main meat grilled platter which had a variety of meats and along other dishes, ranging from kibbeh, platters of rice dishes and dips etc.. for everyone to share.
After waiting for an hour for our food to finally all come out, well, what can i say..
To our disappointment, the Kibbeh was bland, tasteless, no flavour like the frozen pack that you would buy from the supermarket, and the serving were only three pieces even though we were four people at the table.
The kefta was undercooked, (I mean red raw on the inside) the kebab skewers were chewy. The presentation of the 180dh meat platter was like a serving of a dogs dish, everything was on top of one another. The food was not pleasing to the eye. The Lebanese bread was hand ripped into small pieces and some pieces were actually stale. Not to forget, they were very stingy with their servings as we asked for bread over and over again.
You can't see what you are eating, so you are left guessing what you are consuming by the texture of what your tongue feels.
You might get a complimentary bonus from the kitchen staff. 'A long hair' in the mixture of the mince meat. And if you complain to the waitress, you will get a reply with the most rudest manner of, "It's not my fault, I just serve the food" Hilarious, unbelievable and pathetic.
No apology, no people's skill, no class, no style and definitely no offerings to replace the dish. Overall the food was very bland, tasteless, boring with appalling food standards and staff!!
If you want good food and good service there are many other places to spend your time and money at.
At 100dh for most drinks including a 600ml bottle of coke.. Well, in my opinion, that is an overkill and completely outrageous. Especially for a place that has no windows, no views just four walls with a gloomy atmosphere.
This joint is like a gangster, try hard wannabe hangout place.
Upstairs is a very dull and smoky area from the chemical smell of the charcoal beads. (that they use for the shisha.) Other shisha joints use proper shisha charcoal beads that are not filled with chemicals and coated with black carbon monoxide asphalt.
If you are looking to spend your Saturday night listening to, a variety of live music on comfortable chairs, then this place is for you.
Don't forget to BYO. soap, toilet paper as there is urine all over the toilet walls, floor and seat and no means to dry your hands.
You might catch other diseases if you are not careful as a complimentary from the house. However, don't bother complaining as a reply might offend some.
The franchise in Rabat wins hands down without a questionable doubt.
It is ashame that they carry the same name with so many differences of qualities and standards. It is not fair on the other chain as one would think that they are all alike.
Good service but ....
Good food, good service, good deal of money. one thing the level of the music was high.
Good!
Good !!!
