Very familiar riad. Rooms have balconies onto central common space. Great water pressure and readily hot throughout day and night. Simple but nicely set up breakfast. Very accommodating staff. Lovely rooftop, two areas. The one highest is the best due to views. The one below, when we visited, wasn't as in the pictures but maybe it was due to low season.

Last minute booking the day before travelling ,when we arrived there they told us they didn’t receive our booking because they don’t work with the website we booked. At the end,we paid at the riad with double price they normally charge(we found out later on), the room was smelly and not clean,breakfast was bad.food coffee was cold,no milk,and not many choices.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. We made a confirmed booking and paid in advance. When we arrived after being on a bus for 5 hours and showed the lady our booking and confirmation she said it was not confirmed and that if we called the company they would just “give our money back” she then said we could pay triple for a worse room if we had to stay there. She seemed completely uninterested in helping and when we asked if we could sit for a minute to find out what happened she turned us away and said there was a market near by. Of course the city was almost completely booked and finding anywhere nearby was practically impossible. Do not stay here. 100% they will try to squeeze money out of you and not guarantee anything

Right before I start ,I wasn't allowed to put ZERO stars other wise I would be unable to post about this very bad DAR IN FES, We arrived on the 24th of April at five in the evening, having spent two hours looking for the place , this was our fifth trip in four years to fes , so we are not unaware of the scams that are going on , booked through Expedia, the manager and wife (they are not the cute family owner that they claim ) the women denied a booking had been made but eventually offered us six nights for three times the price of when we booked with Expedia then , took 2,500 dh off me before a room was made available in another dar just for the night, we were asked for seven nights up front , but I refused , at 72 years old my bed was calling , , The following day we returned, to be offered a family room at the heavy discount from750dh a night down to 500 dh a night, we checked the offered room no tiles in shower ,dirty toilet , I have been in better in central Africa , the downstairs guest toilet was filthy with heavy brown stains that clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time , I asked for my money back , this was very firmly refused , at 72years old I didn't argue. I know the reader may say these are old folks clearly not used to travel, that is not so , we travel a lot , four months a year , and my partner has been visiting India for the last twenty years and normally travels all over India six to seven weeks at a time , me Im a very seasoned traveller and in my career have travelled extensively to the hottest and coldest places in the world,at very short notice, !!! at first sleeping under canvas and thirty years ago in shipping containers so why complain , want a recomendation in FES , try da faracha , or riad adam Expedia and trip adviser and others are still advertising this property DES SONDAS , and so the SCAM continues , so vote with your feet and say no to this one

WORST HOTEL STAY EXPERIENCE. Pro - the husband was nice Con - hard to find and we cannot call the owner via mobile - the wife was unrespectful and rude. When her husband told us that if we need anything, we can ask him. But his wife got upset with him afterwards because of this. - The rooms were dirty (the bed sheets and pillows were not washed in days, maybe months because it looks really dirty). The smell was horrid, the drainage was bad and smelly. When we ask the wife about it, and sort out the smell, she said it’s from the outside smell from the balcony that came in. Seeing other reviews from other guest, they had the same problem hence it’s not that reason that she gave us. - when we complain that we want a refund because it’s not a livable condition and it’s not as advertised online, the wife started an argument with us for at least 20 minutes, rather than fixing the problem - their were friends that came over, late and early morning, and they were really loud watching YouTube videos and didn’t consider it is late at night (around 11.30am-12.00pm). In the morning, the wife was ranting to her friend VERY loudly while we were still here and were having breakfast. - the wife told us that the breakfast will be served at 9.00am. But it was 9.30am and it was still not served and ready for us. When we asked about it, then they started to buy breakfast outside and set it out for us - the power outlet was NOT working in our rooms - the walls were moldy and dirty - we went back to the hotel from our day trip, and the wife was rude, just lay down on the couch in the main common room on her phone watching YouTube. She didn’t even greet us. We said hi to her and was polite to her, but she just looked up and back down on her phone. It was just rude because if there is a guest, at least be presentable and sit probably and after that, they can do whatever they please - BAD EXPERIENCE WITH RUDE HOST AND TERRIBLE ROOMS OVERALL
