Le palladio's

Well located restaurant just next to Jumbo hypermarket. Good to hang around after shopping. Pizzas just average. Service fair. Just take care on Sundays, they are in a haste to close down just after closure of Jumbo at 1.00 p.m. Service quality drops down very fast and you don't feel much welcome after a visit at the hypermarket.

I adore this restaurant for lunch. It's ideally located, for the middle of running errands, to stop in and relax. Good WiFi, multiple daily newspapers available, and great spot for people watching. If you want to just have a snack or a hot chocolate, that's ok too. Our family has learned how good their 'chocolat viennois' are, and now we have a Pavlovian response to the name! On the basis of their salade nicoise alone, I salute French cooking and this Tana execution of it. If you are an expat, their salads are perfectly safe. I have multiple data points. The printed menu is extensive, and has multiple pictures, so if French is not easy for you, management is trying to make it easier. If you see onion soup on the list of daily specials, don't miss it: The house-made croutons are rubbed in garlic. The waitstaff are excellent, as is the manager. At one recent lunch, she had seen my bowl of soup sent to the table before she could correct it. Believing the quantity of broth too small, she herself brought me another bowl of soup. Sometimes the front of the house gets swamped with 20 tables at once, but they do their best to keep everything running smoothly. Small children are treated very well here. The crowd for lunch is a mix of extended families doing shopping/lunching, retirees having beers, professionals at work lunches, and then single people out for a smoke on the covered patio.

I ordered a Milkshake chocolat and I got a glass of warm milk with cacao poder...10.000 ar for this. I told to the waitress it was warm and she didn't even look at me and start to speak in malagasy. Bad service and bad product.

Place felt a bit shabby at first but they made up for it in service and food! 2 thumbs up.

We had #Cocktail de crevette, my wife's favourite. #Palladio's II Antananarivo is one of the places offering that in case you have the same hunger!
