Hotel maeva morondava

We had a very comfortable stay with direct access to the beach. WiFi and rooms with air conditioning are available. Most if not all rooms have a view to the ocean. The hotel is clean and some staff members speak English. Everyone was (very) helpful and friendly.

Warning: This hotel/restaurant has a caged lemur to entertain tourists. Please don't support this practice! Wish I hadn't ordered food from here.

We only had dinner here. The food wasn't great. The service was very friendly. What really put us off is the lemur with 4 turtles in a tiny cage. The story is that his parents were eaten by locals, so he needed help, but 1) there are places for lemurs to help them rehabilitate into the wild, and 2) if you insist in keeping a lemur as pet (which is illegal), then at least make a very large cage with places to climb etc. So no, I wish we hadn't spent our money here.

Ideally located, the Maéva hotel is a mid-range hotel with very reasonable rates. Admittedly, a good renovation is required on the entire building. The staff are charming and the manager can't do enough for the customers.

I treat the boss very nice and very nice, spacious room overlooking the sea, all night listening to the sea. Towels, soap, hot water, comfortable bed, aircon, exit to the beach. But we found something expensive € 39 for a family room for two people, it was worth more if it was for more people (there were no doubles left). We had two shrimp skewers with vegetables, a very rich salad and fish with very good sauce also for about 50,000 with dessert and beer.
