This is an excellent place: European standard of the renovated rooms (with Sat TV and warm water) at Malagasy Prices. 1 block from Market with all eateries and products you may want. 5 mins walk to shore (the beach here has mostly been washed away by the November 2018 cyclone) 15 more minutes to places where you can swim. See pix for the 5 min beach. Very recommended.

Reasonable prices at reasonable conditions in Morondava. Room without air conditioning 40,000 Ariari per night. It was a little dark, but the water came out well and I was satisfied. The surrounding area is the market, so it was easy to buy food and stuff.
