I do not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Sambava. You may be tempted by it's close location to the beach and it's clean appearance. However, as an expatriate living and working in Madagascar (one of the poorest countries in the world) It is very important that anyone visiting not support owners who treat their employees or clients with disregard or disrespect. Orchiedia Beach II , Mimi Resto , Hazavola are all better options and have air conditioning if needed. I have witnessed them treat employees like slaves and their prices are very high for the quality of rooms and experience. I was rudely shoed away by owning family which has a history of treating other Malagasy as 'below in class so. Very disturbing.

I just love this place. The rooms are sooooo nice and warm at night. I keep the windows, open and listen to the surf. Sometimes I have to sunbath with my eyes closed because some other guy is out there with his nakeds hanging out. I like the room service too. The only problem is you have to go to the bar and order, then run back to the room before the order arrives.

1. Don't pay more money for "climatized" room. The AC works just as a fan and do not give any cold air. It is terribly hot in the room during the night. 2. Typically there's nothing to eat at their restaurant. 3. Breakfast is very poor and very expensive according to local standards. 4. They open at 7.00 am in the best case. Before that time everyone is sleeping, so no chance to even get a cup of coffee. 5. The hotel is on the beach, but the ocean here is not the best for swimming (stones on the bottom and high waves) 6. WiFi is so mora mora (slow) that even Malagasy are surprised. 7. No electricity every morning.
