Lovely place to stay. Nice people. Good dinner. In the middle of town, close to the bustling market. Everything you need in the room and hot water. And you can rent motorbikes from the hostel.

Great value for money. Nice room, with everything you need including hot water. Had nice food here and rented a motorbike. Close to the bustling centre. We arranged our canal tour from a guide here.

They no longer rent motorcycles or scooters here. Rooms are small and okay, hot water doesn't work about half the time. They have a modem that runs on a SIM card but it was depleted. They didn't feel like it was their responsibility to offer wifi, so I ended up paying for it because I needed to check on some things (of course, the bandwidth I'd purchased was used up immediately by the other guests). When I found out that Sidi hotel across the street has wifi and air con, I asked the staff at Les Flamboyants if I could move over there as it was a bit late in the day (5pm), but they had no other guests at that point and usually a hotel will allow late checkout if they're not too busy. I figured it was worth a shot anyway. To confirm, I asked them to make the bill, and they didn't charge me for the upcoming evening, so I thanked them and checked into Sidi. About an hour later, they came knocking on my door, demanding that I pay for an extra night. Not wanting to cheat them, I went back to talk to the owner, who was quite angry that apparently I'd paid what was on the bill and left. I kept telling them that this was what they charged me, and I'd already checked in at the new place so I was on the hook for the room there. I wouldn't have left if they had told me they were still going to charge me for that night. They threatened me, and I walked away, but it did make the rest of my stay in Manakara awkward and feel a little unsafe, as its a small town and they were right across from me the whole time.

No motorcycle or quad rental. the rooms are dirty and the bathroom broken no disposable hand towel because broken toilet flush. the bedding is really out of order and full of bugs the pillows smell of perspiration from previous customers we explained to the hotel that we do not want to stay one more night he got carried away and to finish his sentence in Malagasy. The funniest thing is that in the same standard it is the most expensive hotel in Manakara

Budget hotel, in the center of Manakara, very well located. Simple room, with mosquito net, fan, toilet and shower. 35,000 aris (1 € = 3,842 aris, change November 2018) There is whifi. The owner is friendly and helps you (take out a ticket, locate a bank, look for a guide).
